ENPS Zombie Match Scoring

These scoring rules supercede the scoring section of the standard USPSA rules. All other safety-related USPSA rules are still in effect.

There are three types of "shoot" targets, and one type of "no-shoot" target.

Type 1 "Shoot" target: The Zombie

Standard zombie targets will have clearly defined "heads" that must be shot to neutralize that target. The "heads" might actually be placed anywhere on the cardboard backer, which will be cardboard of any color OTHER than white.

Type 2 "Shoot" Target: Zombie Steel

All steel targets are Zombie targets.

On Paper Zombie Targets, a single head hit is required to neutralize. Steel Zombie Targets must fall to score if shooting centerfire. For .22 divisions, ROs will will count good hits on steel as neutralized, even if the steel does not fall. This is only true for .22 divisions, and the shooter will need to keep track of which targets they have shot, and which they haven't. The RO will not be calling hits out loud.

Type 3 "Shoot" Target: INFECTED (this is new, so pay attention!)

"Infected" are shoot targets that look like the standard IPSC target, brown side---with a splash of red paint on it. "Infected" are especially dangerous, and they require three hits anywhere on the body/head to be neutralized.

No-Shoot Target

Any white silhouette target is a normal, un-infected human. Don't shoot them. They are just like you, except they weren't smart enough to be armed.

  • Any target not neutralized adds 5 seconds to the stage time. (So even if an Infected has two hits, it is still not neutralized. You just made its transition to full Zombie a little faster...)
  • There is a 10 second penalty for each no-shoot hit
  • For these cases, zombie (and Infected) bodies and skulls are considered to be sufficiently weak such that if a shot goes through one and hits another, both scores will count. (including hits on no-shoots!)
  • The stage score for individual stages (except savior stage) is the Total Time.
  • Match points are assessed as percentage of top stage score
  • All stages (except for savior stage) worth 100 match points
  • Savior stage adds bonus match points.
  • Competitor with highest number of match points (including bonus points) wins division.
  • Divisions scored separately (though there will be an HOA for match).
  • All Procedural penalties add 5 seconds to the stage time.
